SRC Pregnancy Shorts

1. Why do the legs of the garment extend to the knee?

There are several important reasons for this:

(a) Some women suffer from varicose veins of the upper leg during pregnancy and our research has shown that having the legs finish at the knee provides effective support to these varicose veins.

(b) The legs are also designed in this way to maximize the compression effect of the lower centre panel.

(c) Having the leg longer also prevents it from riding up.

2. How are my SRC Pregnancy Shorts different from a mainstream support short?

Unlike mainstream compression products the proprietary fabrics are designed and tested specifically for our garments. The patent pending design features panels within the garment that have been specially located for recovery post delivery. The fabrics have been specifically developed and exclusively manufactured for SRC Pregnancy Shorts. There has been a structured approach to research, with the garment being tested by women in the months prior to childbirth. Collectively this process has been designed to ensure that the garment panels work together to provide you with maximum support and comfort. Finally, the manufacturing has been subject to the highest levels of quality control in a dedicated environment.

3. How many weeks should I wear my SRC Pregnancy Shorts for?

Your SRC Pregnancy Shorts have been designed for use in pregnancy only. Wear the shorts during this time for as long as they provide benefit.

4. How many hours a day should I wear my SRC Recovery Shorts?

You should wear your SRC Pregnancy Shorts for as many hours as they feel comfortable. Your shorts can be worn both day and night.

SRC Recovery Shorts

1. Why should I wear SRC Recovery Shorts post delivery?

Your body in the first weeks post delivery is losing fluid gained during pregnancy. Research has shown that providing support to a wound or a swollen area reduces swelling and pain therefore aiding healing. SRC Recovery Shorts provide you with greater core stability allowing you to mobilize more readily as they support your upper and lower abdominal muscles, caesarean wound and the perineum.
